Many Teachers and Band Directors that are operating their first educational tours for high school students in a new district or in a new role, have to make a presentation to their supervisor or to a school board prior to the educational tour being approved. Putting in a small amount of effort and planning prior to this meeting can lead to a high level of success and an amazing learning experience for students.

  • My wife has been wanting to pitch the idea of an educational tour for her students for a while now and has been a bit nervous about setting that up. I liked that you had mentioned that it could be important to find out how much you can spend per student and what is included in that and what will need to be done through fundraising or out of pocket. I’ll have to ask my wife if she can figure out how much the school will cover first, although she might just need to look for a company to go through that can handle educational tours.

    • Thank you Roger. We would love to help your wife plan her classroom’s educational tour. Our Educational Program Directors may be reached at 800-544-4723 if she would like assistance with her travel preparation and planning. There is quite a bit of information that will help her as well on the Educational Discovery Tours website (www.educationaldiscoverytours.com).
