Puerto Rico Performance Tours

Hurricane Maria wreaked havoc in 2017 as she trekked across the Caribbean. Puerto Rico wasn't spared but due to aggressive efforts by business and the residents of the island to clean and repair as much as possible, as soon as possible, many parts of this destination are ready and anxious to welcome guests especially those on Puerto Rico performance tours back.

Educational Discovery Tours groups stay in and visit areas of the island that have recovered from the hurricane.

Puerto Rico's economy has been negatively affected by Maria so by visiting the area students will be contributing to the economic well being of Puerto Rican families as well as participating in an adventure that will create memories to last a lifetime. They will also have an opportunity to give back...

During the performance tour students will participate in a service learning project at a local school, orphanage or soup kitchen. They will clean-up, paint and help communities to rebuild while at the same time, learning about Puerto Rican rural communities and the challenges they now face.

service learning project

Despite the difficulties of the last year, the Puerto Rican culture and love of life is still intact. During their stay, students will learn to salsa dance, eat at the most popular and authentic Puerto Rican restaurants, visit a family owned pineapple plantation, swim at night in a bioluminescent bay and tour Old San Juan on a walking tour of the La Perla neighborhood, home of "Despacito"!

Other sight-seeing activities include:

  • Los Morrillos Lighthouse
  • Playa Sucia
  • Local fisherman sunset show
  • Ponce main square tour
  • La Parguera's mangrove cays
  • Shopping at Calle Atocha
