Educational Tours For High School Students
Educators are returning to their classrooms with not only reading, writing and arithmetic on their minds. More and more teachers are recognizing the learning opportunities that off campus student travel programs provide. Here is a look at the 2017 top 5 educational trips for high school students.
1. Southern California Student Travel
Disneyland and Southern California top our list of student performance travel destinations this year. At Disneyland, instrumental and choir performance tours showcase their ensembles while performing live for Disney guests. Universal Studios invites choirs, dance teams, cheer squads and drill teams to become real “Hollywood Stars” through auditions and hands-on, interactive workshops.
2. Educational Tours to New York
The “Big Apple”, New York City, is our second top destination. The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, the Statue of Liberty, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park, Times Square and a Broadway Show are itinerary musts. Trips to Washington DC are frequently added on by Midwest and West Coast schools.
3. Student Travel to Chicago
Chicago, the third top destination, ranks high with educational field trip planners and school performance tours. Shedds Aquarium, the Museum of Science and Industry and the view from
the Sears Tower Sky Deck all topped off by a baseball game at historic Wrigley Field are the most popular trip components of a “windy city” educational discovery trip. A night at the Chicago Symphony and a performance at Navy Pier as part of your school band tour’s inclusions will add to the memories.
4. High School Student Travel to Orlando
Orlando and Disney World is our fourth top high school group favorite! In addition to visiting multiple amusement parks, Disney adventures include the opportunity for music performance tours to go backstage at La Nauba™ by Cirque du Soleil. History students love the “Discover the American Spirit experience”. The Kennedy Space Center and SeaWorld are also popular options.
5. High School Student Visits to Europe
A European excursion finishes off the top five list of educational trips for high school students this year. England, France, Ireland and Italy are the most frequently visited countries.
